If your customers will be looking for a local company, particularly if they have a phone number and a business location, a Google Business Profile (formerly GMB) is a must-have.

If you want to go lead-gen and be dominant in the niche overall, then a website should be your focal point. Going in-depth in content is a must. You don’t need a GMB for that.

If most of the searches contain “near me” then that’s an indicator you need a GMB.
